Step-1: Unbox Your Extender
First things first, unpack your brand new Setek wireless range extender properly. Be sure not to damage any accessories while unboxing the extender. In the extender’s package, you will get an extender (obviously!), antennas, an Ethernet cable, and a manual.
Step-2: Aim for Optimal Placement
Once unboxed, it’s time to place your Setek WiFi range extender. While placing your extender, make sure to keep it in a central area of your home. Also, keep the extender at a certain distance
away from interference-creating devices such as microwaves, refrigerators, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, baby monitors, metal doors, aluminum studs, glasses, mirrors, fish tanks, to name a few.
Do not place your Setek extender nearby concrete walls, windows, under a table, behind an almirah, and in corners.
Step-3: Connect Your Setek
The next step for the extender setup is to connect your extender to the home WiFi router. Grab an Ethernet cable and insert its one end to the router whereas another to the extender. Ensure that the cable is in the working condition, having no cuts or damages.
Step-4: Access the Setek Login Web Page
Thereafter, launch an internet browser on your computer, laptop, or wireless PC. Enter IP in the address bar at the top-left side and click on the Go arrow.
You will land on the Setek WiFi extender login portal. Insert the user ID and passphrase into the given fields. Once done, click on the Log In button.
Step-5: Follow the Setup Wizard
After logging in, you will be reached the Setek setup wizard. This wizard will provide you the on-screen instructions helping you to set up and install your Setek WiFi extender.
Follow the provided instructions with great care. Once done, check the LED lights on your extender. In case all the LEDs are visible in green, it means that your Setek range extender has been set up properly.
