The login of the Netgear extender can be done by two ways one is done by the web browser and the other is done by the Nighthawk app. So follow the steps and log in your extender;

First by Nighthawk App

1. Be sure that you are connected to the WiFi extender.
2. Download the Nighthawk app from the App store or the Play store. Open the app.
3. Click on the menu button on the top left corner of the screen.
4. Select the setup a new Nighthawk system. Click on get started option.
5. Select the range extender option on the screen. Tap on WiFi is connected.
6. Select your router’s name SSID. To verify you need to enter the password. Tap on next.
7. The login page appears. Enter the admin password that is mentioned on the label or on the user manual.
8. Select two security questions and click on next.
9. Then the app will check if there is any new firmware update.
10. If there is no update click on next.

Now let us login through the other method which is the web browser.

Login through Web Browser

The following steps will tell you how to login into the Netgear extender with the help of a web browser.

1. Make sure that you are connected to the Netgear WiFi network by the steps given above.
2. Open the web browser on the connected device and type, www.mywifiext.net in the search bar.
3. The new extender setup page appears on the screen click on the yes I agree option and press Enter.
4. Enter the default admin username and the password. Which is mentioned on the label or on the user’s manual.
5. Wait until the power and the router light turn solid green or blue.
6. Now you can move the extender where the network is dead and use the extender.
